Our purpose is to make Christ Church a caring, warm, and embracing place for all people who delight in worship, scripture study, and community service in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Youth & Family Ministry

Sunday School for ages 3 – grade 12 meets Sunday mornings at 10:15 AM (Sept thru May), downstairs in the former choir room. After an opening of song, prayer and theme introduction, children go to age appropriate classes to continue lessons and activities. Themes are designed around the seasonal lectionary used in worship. The Spark Children’s Bible and lesson series are used.

Confirmation is when a person affirms the baptismal vows that were made on his/her behalf by their parents and sponsors at the time of their baptism. Confirmation usually takes place when a person is about 14 years of age and after two years of special instruction. Confirmation instruction is held on the third Sunday of each month (Sept thru May) after the 10:30 service.

Confirmation at Christ Church means that:

I am now old enough to speak for myself
I CONFIRM the vows and promises that were made for me at my baptism
I CONFIRM my desire to live as a Christian adult with the rites and privileges of full membership in Christ Church.

A Note from Shellie Ann Fritchman, Coordinator

Family ministry is a term used to describe the many and diverse activities of congregations in support of family relationships. I certainly feel as if my entire life was leading up to this. Married to Daniel Fritchman in 1994. We were blessed with 2 wonderful children. My most important ministry is to love and lead my family to know God and love Him. My life dramatically changed in 2000 when I was in an accident. God used this painful time in my life to give me a heart for young people and to help grow families in Christ.

In 2011 I started my journey at Christ Church. I enjoy sharing my time and energy with the families at Christ. Over the years there have been lots of change; but one thing always remains the same, SMILES.

SMILES and laughter are the key to having success in families and in ministries.
