Our music ministry has drawn many people to Christ Church. If you have an interest in music or know someone who does, please tell them about the music you have seen and heard at Christ Church. Music may be the “open door” for them becoming an active member of our church family.

Chancel Choir is the “crown jewel” of the music program.  We extend an open invitation to anyone who has an interest in making a “joyful noise” by singing in the Chancel Choir to contact Karl DeBoeser.   The choir sings each Sunday at the late service, providing variety to the worship experience including classic and traditional styles as well as Gospel and Jazz compositions.  Some music reading ability is recommended, but one does not have to be an accomplished singer.  Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m.  September thru May.

Immanuel Singers (ladies only) are women who are interested in singing contemporary praise music.  The schedule is less demanding as they sing on average once per month.  Rehearsals are for 45 minutes after the late service on most Sundays.  In addition, this group enjoys caroling at Phoebe Home and presenting more adventurous presentations like the medley from Sister Act. Please call Karl DeBoeser for more information.

Christabells are the hand bell ringers and are always open to welcoming new members.  If you have rung bells in the past, or if youhave ever thought about trying, please consider joining us.  It is helpful to be able to read music a bit, although we do mark each bell part.  Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. September thru May. For more information, contact Donna Lahouchuc.

SONY DSCChildren’s Chimes are a group of children who meet to ring chimes and sing. Their performances contribute to the celebration during select worship and holiday services. No musical ability is needed. Every child is successfulContact Nadine Smith for more information.

Each January Christ Church presents The Twelfth Night Festival. Considered part of our music and outreach ministries, participation in the Twelfth Night Choir or as part of the cast or crew is open to church members and community members alike. Consideration for roles in the production is given first to active members of Christ Church and Sunday School.   For more information on the Twelfth Night Festival see Community Outreach. To view photos of past performances, visit Christ Church Twelfth Night Festival on Facebook.
